FACT™ Contrast Sensitivity Chart

VSRC's patented Functional Acuity Contrast Test (FACT) Chart is an accurate and comprehensive sine-wave grating chart that tests functional visual acuity. Developed by Dr. Arthur Ginsburg, the FACT sine-wave grating chart tests five spatial frequencies (sizes) and nine levels of contrast. The patient determines the last grating seen for each row (A, B, C, D and E) and reports the orientation of the grating: right, up or left. The last correct grating seen for each spatial frequency is plotted on a contrast sensitivity curve.

FACT contrast sensitivity scores can also be used to generate images with VSRC's EyeView™ Functional Analysis Software which demonstrates how the world looks to your patient based on their contrast sensitivity scores.

FACT Contrast Sensitivity Charts are available in two sizes:

  • Distance FACT Chart
Includes framed wall chart, answer key, recording forms and instruction manual. 27" X 37"
  • Near FACT Chart
Includes a calibrated holder, answer key, recording forms and instruction manual.
    7" X 5"

Cost: Distance FACT chart $1600.00, Near FACT chart $850.00
